On December 7, 2024, the 19th edition of the “Bal de Noel” took place in the Salle Empire of the Hotel de Paris and was attended by H.S.H. Princesse Charlene. Here, the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco hosted a charity auction in collaboration with Sotheby’s: the foundation dedicated to safe lives by combating drowning and offering to advance sports-based education for kids. This event was supported by diverse prestigious organizational members, famous for their unwavering assistance and innovation.
The event received profound backing from Tiamonds, the world’s largest tokenized diamond marketplace. Tiamonds contributed by donating a one-of-a-kind piece—a heart-shaped natural diamond that was sold for an impressive 18,000 EUR. 100% of its proceeds were graciously donated to the Foundation, highlighting a perfect blend of luxury and philanthropy.
This exquisite diamond, classified as a rare Type IIa stone, is among the purest diamonds in the world, representing less than 2% of gem-quality diamonds. It was accompanied by a groundbreaking feature — a digital twin, secured on the blockchain, creating an unparalleled blend of timeless elegance and modern technology.
A Sparkling Success for Charity
The diamond captivated attendees, drawing admiration not only for its breathtaking beauty but also for its innovative blockchain-based ownership options. Tiamond #239 is a GIA-certified, natural diamond that exemplifies luxury and ethics. This 1.01-carat heart-shaped diamond boasts a D color grade and IF clarity, ensuring its status as a premium gemstone. Ethically sourced in compliance with UN resolutions, it reflects both beauty and responsibility.
Once purchased, this exquisite diamond is stored securely in a specialized vault in the Swiss Alps, insured by Lloyd’s of London for maximum protection. Tiamond #239 is then tokenized as a non-fungible token (NFT), enabling seamless trading on the Tiamonds platform or other NFT marketplaces. Each buyer receives an LCX certificate of ownership, along with the corresponding NFT delivered directly to their wallet.
This remarkable diamond recently made headlines when auctioned by Sotheby’s for an impressive €18,000, underscoring its value and desirability and sold.
The diamond will be auctioned at “Le Bal de Noël”, with 100% of the funds going to the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco, supporting their incredible charitable initiatives.
